Jim Small, SANTE's founder and Executive Chairman, has made a deeply personal commitment to funding research that will cure genetically-based diseases affecting children. This is not a corporate marketing initiative — it is the driving force behind everything SANTE does.
The mission was born from personal experience with families affected by these devastating conditions. Watching children struggle with diseases that rob them of their potential inspired a resolve to channel the success of SANTE's investment platform toward finding cures.
This philanthropic commitment is structurally embedded in SANTE's investment vehicles. A portion of the carried interest from the SANTE Legacy Protection Fund LP is directed toward research institutions and organizations working on the front lines of these diseases.

Rett Syndrome
A rare genetic neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls, affecting nearly every aspect of a child's life — their ability to speak, walk, eat, and even breathe easily. SANTE is committed to funding breakthrough research toward a cure.
Girls Affected
Type 1 Diabetes
An autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Unlike Type 2, it is not preventable and requires lifelong insulin therapy. SANTE supports research aimed at finding a permanent cure.
Americans Living with T1D
Autism Spectrum Disorder
A complex developmental condition involving persistent challenges with social communication, restricted interests, and repetitive behavior. SANTE funds research into the genetic underpinnings of autism to develop targeted therapeutic interventions.
